16 display boards provide information for hikers and cyclists

A five-kilometer-long circular hiking trail leads over Hülser Berg, which has been a popular excursion destination for over a century. A 19 km long circular cycle path connects further stations in the idyllic Hülser Bruch and the historic town center of Hüls. A total of 16 display boards inform hikers and cyclists about local sights and their relationship to the region's geology, raw material extraction and landscape history.

On a new circular route on Hülser Berg, new information boards explain the geology with very interesting texts and fantastic graphics and illustrations that take you back to the Ice Age. For example, it explains very well how the hermit spring came into being. Other cities can use this as an example of how knowledge is conveyed.

The GeoPfad is a joint project of the GeoParks Ruhrgebiet e.V. and the city of Krefeld supported by the Hüls local history association. It was supported with funds from the Rhineland Regional Association (LVR).
