Riesloch Waterfalls

The absolute highlight is of course the Riesloch waterfalls. The cascading water is a spectacle, especially after heavy rain and during snowmelt, as the water moves through the approximately 1.6 km long Riesloch Gorge. In the Riesloch Gorge, the Arberbach, Schwellbach, Kleinhüttenbach and Wildauerbach join together to form the Riesbach. The Riesloch Falls form at the eastern entrance to the gorge.

The hiking trail leads through the nature reserve, directly beside the Rissbach stream, through the forest. The partly rocky and slippery trail through the Rissloch Gorge requires sturdy footwear and surefootedness. However, you'll be rewarded with impressive views of the beautiful Rißloch Falls. The wild, rocky gorge is framed by a near-natural mixed forest of beech, maple, and spruce trees. A natural spectacle not to be missed!
