The path is beautiful and worthwhile .. the view is great, but every now and then you have to carry the bike over obstacles

A trail more for hikers than for trekking bikers, but still worth seeing. It goes along the coast of the Schlei with great views and lookout points. The area with its ancient oaks and beeches is magically beautiful and quaint. However, the passages in the swamp area can be quite muddy.

Not suitable for bike tours. Narrow, steep and overgrown paths. Only something for experienced mountain bikers.

We rode the way today by bike and a bike trailer. Feasible, but you have to feel a thirst for adventure. A few times we had to uncouple and push it by hand.
But the view of the Schlei was worth it.

The section is the highlight on the loop bad. Unfortunately not nice to drive. But you will be rewarded with pure nature.

The Schlei is a great region for any outdoor activity. I've visited this place many times with the kayak, now I was here for the first time with the bike and it could be my favorite place at the cry. If you like a bit of terrain, cycling is just perfect. Otherwise just the hiking boots and go ...

Nice way for mountain bike or crosser. With a touring bike rather not recommended. The view of the Schlei and the nature along the way are beautiful.

Partly narrow and sandy path, with smaller inclines, always close to the water.
Make fun with the MTB. Transverse beech makes you inventive ...

If you want to push or carry your bike at times, it might be ok for you.

This is probably the nicest way to find out about the Schlei. As a round tour, it can be started from anywhere. In Schleswig, the Holm and the monastery are a must. You can pass it directly there without detours. Of course, it is also worth taking a look at the cathedral, with the "Bordesholmer Altar" by Brüggemann, which the people of Schleswig brought from the Bordesholm church, supposedly to save it!
Of course Arnis and the Schifferkirche is a very nice place, you have to look around here.
And coming from Arnis the church tower of St Nicokai, the eel towers of Föh and the highest Dutch mill SH, the mill Amanda, announce the imminent arrival in Kappeln. The most beautiful city on the Schlei, with the only herring fence in Europe, offers variety and great places to relax and unwind.
