The Misburg branch canal in Hanover is a branch of the Mittelland Canal to the Misburg harbor.
Today's branch canal was initially built from 1914 to 1916 as the Mittelland Canal to the Misburger Hafen and ended with a turning point. After the end of the First World War, a new route was chosen for the further expansion of the Mittelland Canal. Today's branch canal was created from the old route.The expansion of the branch canal for larger types of ships to the Misburger Hafen (corresponding to the expansion of the Mittelland Canal) was completed in October 2007.
