Wouldn't recommend trying to cross. Looks bumpy 😳and unsafe. Sure there should be a locked gate, but missing.

The Viaduct is now open as a viewing platform, with a rideable trail up from the Canal at one end and a series of steps with a wheel guide at the Erewash Valley Trail end

Road cycling

Path up to the viaduct which can be cycled across - eventually also we should be able to cycle down the other side - but works are still in progress on the path and the Visitors Centre.
