Heikendorfer Wasserweg

“An der Schanze” is the name of the section of the Förde Promenade south of the U-boat Memorial.

The path was beautifully laid out and there are very, very good fish sandwiches here!

This part is a section of the "Heikendorf Waterway", which stretches for around 8 km along the hiking trail and the hinterland and has 19 information boards on the subject of water. This is about "sea marks".
The area is beautifully laid out with insect-friendly flowerbeds, it has a small section of beach, benches and beach chairs to relax on and restaurants within walking distance. Parking is possible in marked areas for a fee (currently 1 hour costs €1.50, each additional hour also costs €6.00, day ticket).
