- Riesling, Trollinger and Pinot Noir vines are grown
- every year the grapes are harvested by representatives of the local council and the city administration
- the "Remstalkellerei" presses the grapes and makes them into the city wine "Ratsschenk"
- the "Ratschenk" is a representative gift and is served on special occasions
