The Faulhau spring is located near Baach (a district of Weinstadt) in the Rems-Murr district of Baden-Württemberg.
The spring has already undergone two name changes: the original Faulhau spring was renamed the Georg Amann spring in 1964, before being renamed Faulhau spring again in 2021.
The metal plaque "Georg-Amann-Quelle" (Georg Amann Spring) shown in the pictures on the stone is no longer present: historical background: see zvw.de/lokales/weinstadt/nazi-b%C3%BCrgermeister-georg-amann-entscheidung-%C3%BCber-neuen-namen-f%C3%BCr-quelle-in-baach-vertagt_arid-265034)
- The spring formerly served as a drinking water supply for, among others, the municipality of Schnait.
- Today, the spring is no longer of drinking water quality (see information panel).
