    The Austro-Hungarian Cemetery in Crosati, near Contrà Campana, was a burial ground that at the end of the First World War housed the remains of 1,036 imperial soldiers who fell in the bloody battles for Mount Cimone. Previously, the fallen were buried in two other field cemeteries, in Contrà Grotta and Campana, but it was decided to build a third in this clearing, as it was more sheltered from Italian artillery bombardment.

    In 1965, the remains were exhumed and transferred to the Ossuary in Cittadella (Padua). Long abandoned, the cemetery was restored and reopened in 2006: the original concrete crucifix was relocated and 100 wooden crosses were placed, with 100 names drawn at random from the 1,036 fallen. The complete list is visible on the noticeboard in the nearby wooden house.
