Hiking
A valuable technical cultural monument is the 3.25 m high cylinder of the first German steam engine. When mining in Löbejün stopped in 1884, the Oberbergamt gave the cylinder to the town of Löbejün. The city's promise to erect it in a dignified manner in a suitable place was finally kept in 1934. Today it stands on a base made of local porphyry in a specially designed park.
