Confluence points are geographical points where integer lines of latitude and longitude intersect; at this point the equator (the zeroth parallel) intersects 30 degrees east longitude, so it has the coordinates 0.000° and 30.000° east. It is located very close to where the road to Katunguru branches off the A109 to the south. Since you cross the equator here, there is a small parking lot here. There are signs pointing to the equator (placed in the wrong place), the confluence point is not marked.
