That was our bathing spot in my childhood - at that time there were 4 pools to bathe at the confluence with the Seebach, we said "Wannenbachl". At the confluence with the Seebach there was a pumping station of the pulp mill, the "Seewasserammlung", thereby the outflow of the Magdalenensee was always freed from overgrowth by workers of the plant. The pump station has been removed. Today you can only see the 4 backflow flaps which are to prevent flooding of the eastern area when the Seebach floods.
