This is one of New York's highest peaks, with a 70-foot tower and awesome views of the West Canada Lakes Wilderness to the south and the High Peaks to the north. The steel fire tower was established in 1916 and is part of the Hamilton County Fire Tower Challenge.

The trail to the summit includes a mix of old dirt road and wooded terrain, and a moderate climb at the end.
