Heinz Rühmann, actor ("The Three from the Gas Station," "The Feuerzangenbowle," "Max, the Pickpocket," "The Captain of Köpenick," among others), is buried with his third wife in the monastery cemetery in Aufkirchen. He last lived in Berg, having moved from Berlin to Munich as a UFA star after the end of the war.
Unlike other film celebrities of that era, he rests in a simple grave—far from the honorary graves in Berlin or Hamburg of, for example, fellow actor Hans Albers.
