Badia del Buonsollazzo, nestled in the charming town of Borgo San Lorenzo along the Via Degli Dei (VDD), is a captivating historical site with deep roots in the region's cultural and religious heritage.

The Badia, or abbey, is an architectural gem that has stood the test of time, offering a glimpse into the medieval history of this area. Its name, "Buonsollazzo," translates to "good cheer," hinting at the positive and uplifting atmosphere that this place exudes.

As pilgrims and hikers traverse the Via Degli Dei, the Badia del Buonsollazzo becomes a noteworthy waypoint. The abbey's ancient walls echo with tales of centuries gone by, and its surroundings are imbued with a sense of tranquility. The architecture, with its arches and stone façade, is a testament to the craftsmanship of the artisans who contributed to its construction.

done the trail in 5 days alone in July 2023, no comment can give an idea of the feeling of happiness, freedom, tension..... I met many guys (and this gives me the idea that the future will be better than what we elderly people leave).... I cried upon arrival in Piazza della Signoria..... as I have already posted "if you have someone you don't love tell them to take the path, if instead you have someone you who you love tell them to do it... in any case they will thank you".
