"The town was mentioned already in 1343. It belonged to: Benedictine nuns from Legnica, lieutenant Leopold Ehrhardt (1830, 1845), landowner and factory owner Friedrich Wilhelm Methner (1876), limited partnership "Rosemann u.Co" from Jakuszów (1894) , Rothe and Gregor from Wrocław (1910), Hans Ulrich Siewczynski (from 1927). In the interwar period, the knights' estates included, among others, a manor house with a grange (1 ha), a park (1 ha), and a garden (1 ha). A small manor, two-story, with a three-story avant-corps preceded by a balcony, under which there was a three-arcade portico. Covered with a hip roof" according to R.M.Łuczyński. According to other German sources, the previous owners were the Notiz family.
