Alpine Crossign is only worthwhile if you can see something, have run in fog and have seen little. Fortunately it was better at the summit and you had a half hour view of the crater and the lakes. Everything gray again on the descent.

This is - together with a tour in Patagonia - the greatest tour I've ever done! The landscape is barren but always offers new stunning attractions. It's worth the effort!
