The Caribou Mountain summit boasts great views of the surrounding area. The summit sits at an elevation of 980 feet above sea level, and there are a few different approach points. Hikers can either take the longer walk through the woods, leaving from the Donnell Pond Road parking area, or take a slightly shorter route using Big Chief Trailhead. The shortest option is to leave from the trailhead to Cathrine Mountain on Dep. of Cons Rd. off of Balckwoods Road. No matter what route hikers take to the summit of Caribou Mountain, they are in for a lovely hike.
