Tunk Mountain is at an elevation of 1160 feet and can be accessed by hiking trails in a mixed forest and a wet forest where hikers cross bog bridges. After hikers cross a small, clear stream coming from Spring River Lake, the trail becomes rockier with accents and descents before the summit of Tunk Mountain. The large boulders in this area were deposited by former glaciers many years ago.
