The Church of Santa Caterina is a small religious building located in the historic center of Pienza. The church has medieval origins and over time has undergone various interventions that have modified its appearance. It is located along one of the main streets of the Renaissance village desired by Pope Pius II. Today, it is part of the city's historical and architectural heritage.

A beautifully simple little pilgrimage chapel on the Pienza panoramic path. The church, dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena, contains an old Madonna fresco to which powers of grace are attributed. The votive offerings around the fresco and in the church testify to this - evidence that people in need have long been making pilgrimages here to entrust their needs and fears to the Madonna.
Some may dismiss this as superstition. But I believe that this trust deserves respect.
