The former mountain settlement of Groß Iser was located here. Here and there, only the foundations and remains of the walls of the individual houses can be seen here and there. The Groß-Iser colony was a district of Bad Flinsberg. On Groß-Iser there were 45 houses including Schwedlersplan and Iserkamm. Of these, 3 inns, 1 coffee shop, 1 new and 1 old school, 1 youth hostel / ski farm, 1 fire station, 2 customs houses, 1 hunting lodge owned by Count Schaffgotsch, 1 forester's office and 1 hiking hut. Due to its location, Groß-Iser was and is a popular excursion destination in summer and winter.
