The Scheepslift 2 Houdeng Aimeries is the second lift built during the First World War. This elevator does not have steel channel bridges at the top. The construction is therefore simpler, and no extra set of doors is required as with the first lift. There was also a bad experience with the steel canal bridges at the first lift, the water in these canal bridges froze quite quickly in winter. The drop is 16.93 meters.
