The Rothsee is the heart of the water transfer from the Danube to the Rhine-Main area. It stores the Altmühl and Danube water pumped up via the Main - Danube Canal. Very nice lake for all kinds of water sports or just to relax. Beautiful lawns, various restaurants and a beautiful path around the lake. With 2.1 square kilometers of water, the Rothsee is the largest natural bathing water in the Roth district. It is divided into two parts, a preliminary barrier and a main barrier.
