A very beautiful church in the middle of the town of Hohenhameln

It is the Protestant Church of St. Laurentius.
The parish was founded in the 9th or 10th century. As a result of the Hildesheim Diocesan Feud, Hohenhameln fell to the Duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel and therefore became Lutheran.
In 1712, however, the Catholic bishop of Hildesheim had a small Catholic church of the same name built. This is within sight of the Protestant church.

Right next to the church there is a great ice cream parlor in the Spritzenhaus
