Stellingmolen 'De Wachting' is located on the spot where the old flour mill 'De Wachting' stood from 1840 to 1949. The mill was rebuilt in 1988.

In this more than 100-year-old mill, flour is ground and mustard is made at fixed dates and times. The millers and mustard makers provide detailed explanations and as a visitor you are very welcome to attend these demonstrations.

The mill also has a mill shop. All traditionally made mill products are available here. Here you will find flour and wheat flour, various types of pancake mixes, boffert mix and fourteen different types of Amelander mustard. The Amelander mustard, which is made in the “De Wachting” mill, is part of the Amelands Product.

Flour mill "De Wachting" is an octagonal windmill. An octagonal top mill is a mill whose hull has 8 sides. It is also a type of mill of which only the hood can be rotated. The mill functions as a flour mill and is capable of grinding. A predecessor from 1840 stood on the site of this mill, but it was demolished in 1949 due to lack of maintenance. A few years before the Second World War, they switched to using a diesel engine for grinding. But when fuel was no longer available during the war, milling was again powered by wind. In 1991, a mill from Brucht was rebuilt on this site.
