Gray Beach, or Magnolia Beach, is a lovely, secluded-feeling beach with dramatic tides and ocean views on the border of Gloucester and Manchester-by-the-Sea. The beach is only accessible to the non-resident public via a walking trail through the Coolidge Reservation; the streets surrounding Gray Beach and the small parking lot on Shore Road are all resident-parking only. For non-residents, however, the walk through Coolidge Reservation is great and, because of the limited access, Gray Beach is usually less crowded feeling than other beaches in the area.
