Eastern Point Lighthouse is situated at the eastern tip of Massachusetts Gloucester Harbor. Known as America’s oldest seaport.

The harbor has supported fishermen, whalers, traders, and even smugglers since 1616.

The resident only signs are definitely misleading because there are a few properties open to the public past those signs. I believe the parking lot is owned by Mass Audubon and last I saw it was $10 to park. There is a guard there sometimes to enforce this. If you wanted to be extra cautious off season you could park at Niles beach and walk there which is a lovely walk too.

Road cycling

Should read “Eastern Point Light”. This is accessible to bikes and cars, even though there are multiple “residents only” signs. Ask the security guard at the gate prior to accessing the area. Car parking is a few bucks. You can walk out on the pier.
