You'll notice on the map that the trail rating goes from T2 to T3 in this section, and for good reason! This challenging section descends over 1500 feet in a mile, but even trickier is the route finding that you will have to do to find your way down. Cairns mark the trail, but they can be tricky to spot. Choosing the wrong line can put you on steep cliff faces, so go slow through this section and check your map when in doubt. You'll be downclimbing granite that will be slick in wet or snowy conditions. If you are doing the traverse, you'll want to make sure you get through this section before the sun goes down. Once you hit Snow Lake, the trails are much easier to follow in the dark.
