Along the path that leads from Lavaccioni to the Vecchiete pass within the splendid beech forest of the Alpe, there are these stone boundary stones that marked the border between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the State of the Church. The reconfinement occurred in 1850. Now they mark the regional border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
