Midgeton is the only settlement on the western shores of Repulse Bay. There is nothing north (except the Laguna Quay Resort) until Conway beach, 20 km away, and nothing south until Seaforth, 27 km away. Midgeton Beach itself is a 1.8 km long, low gradient, sandy beach. It is backed by a foreshore reserve fringed with coconut trees.
