Count Friedrich Ludwig von Arnim-Boitzenburg acquired the Blumberg estate at the age of 40 and, as befitted his status, commissioned the luminaries of his time to plan a manor house and expand the park.
And so the architect Friedrich August Stüler provided plans for the palace and Peter Josef Lenné the designs for the palace park.
The palace burned down in the last days of the war in 1945 and the park suffered more than just damage in the years that followed from the forces of nature but especially from human hands until well into the 1970s.Through the work of individual actors, municipal care and investment and the work of the Barnimer Feldmark Regional Park Association, the "Blumberger Lenné Park" developed into a gem on the outskirts of Berlin.
