The church in the village of Glebitzsch is a neo-Gothic single-nave brick building with a recessed polygonal choir.

At the beginning of March 1896, the dilapidated church tower that had existed until then was demolished. The church building itself, whose meter-thick long walls consisted only of clay and rubble stones without any windows, was preserved despite its dilapidation. Only after numerous efforts did the Royal Building Officer, Mr. Lauth zu Deitzsch, manage to obtain permission to remove the building and build a new church in Glebitzsch. The church tower was therefore completed in 1896. The completion and inauguration of the church we know today in the town of Glebitzsch took place on October 31, 1898.
