Turelbaach Castle, built by Pol Gilsons, is picturesquely situated on an island in a forest pond. With its towers, windows and gates, it looks like something out of a fairy tale. Even if you can't visit the castle from the inside, it's worth a visit!

In the 1960s the construction of the house started, which was initially intended as a holiday home. He worked for 40 years to turn the house into this « castle ». In 2020 Turelbaach was taken over by the municipality of Mertzig and since then it is no longer private property and freely accessible. Only the interior cannot be visited.
