Dendrochronological measurements of the beams in the roof structure showed that trees that were felled around 1180 were used. During the Reformation, the church experienced a radical removal of the Catholic inventory and became the center of the Reformed Evangelical Church in the Laubustal.

Immediately below the church there is an impressive memorial for those who fell in the world wars.
