Tips
The Aberg crossing at the Fraunhofer Institute is a short, bold hill crossing on the south side, connecting Grafschaft with Gleidorf. From the viewpoint, one can see what is likely the former Lenne valley (geologically prehistoric, source: The River Terraces of the Lenne), including the mighty Grafschaft Monastery (now a hospital specializing in pneumology and allergology), all the way to Schmallenberg's lower town. This is where Schmallenberg's longest-open supermarket is located (open until 10 p.m., as of May 30, 2025).
