Known as the 'Valley of Butterflies' due to the number and variety of butterfly species that have been recorded here, a hike along the burgeoning River Kupa is magical. There's an almost mystical quality to the water, as it begins its 185-mile (297 km) journey to meet the River Sava at the Slovenia city of Sisak. The hike to its source is usually accessed from Razloge.
