Beautiful little chapel for quiet devotion right on the Hösljoch.

The chapel at Hösljoch was built by Johann Moser (Oberhausberg) after the old one was destroyed by flooding.
The chapel was restored in 2008. The Höslkapelle is located directly at the transition to Thierbach/Wildschönau - the Hösljoch.
In the middle of the altar, the Mother of Sorrows "Mater Dolorosa" is depicted, pierced by a sword, which reminds us of Mary's lifelong worries for her son Jesus Christ. The miraculous image of Mary and the altar were spared from the flood of 1893.

Silence and idyll unite this unique place! Enjoy it before you continue climbing to the Gratlspitze or linger as you descend. It is also worth a stop from or on the way to the Holzalm 😎
