According to legend, the Kundler Klamm was bitten by a dragon from the rock. A farmer had outsmarted and killed the monster. In agony, the dragon bit through the rock and the lake, which had previously filled the Wildschönau, emptied.

The walking time in the gorge is approximately one hour. And if you like, you can also get on the Wildschönau slow train. You can find all the information about the gorge and its opening times here: alpbachtal.at/de/sommer/wandern/naturerlebnisklammen/kundler-klamm.

The Kundler gorge is a gorge along the Wildschönauer Ache.
It is closed from 15 November to 31 March for safety reasons and in heavy rains. In the summer season there is also the possibility to reach the gorge with the "Wildschönauer Bummelzug" from Mühltal.

After an accident by rockfall, the gorge was closed in 2007 and carried out renovation and security work. After their completion, the gorge is officially open again since 2009.

Also suitable for a short Sunday walk. Normal way to deal with children and strollers. 1 guest house in the middle of the Klam.

Very nice gorge, also without admission. It is easy to hike along the river.

Wonderful, easy hike along the gorge. You can also take the slow train, which has several stops, for a while.

The path is accessible with a stroller and a wheelchair. However, it can get quite crowded at impact. Finally, you can go up with a slow train.

An easy gorge with wide paths. Very easy to cope with with children and suitable for prams. However, a gorge is always spectacular to look at, there is no particular highlight ;-)
