This palace was built between the 14th and 15th centuries, although the main works were later promoted by a grandson of Juan Cano Saavedra, who had traveled to America joining the ranks of Hernán Cortés there, and who married Princess Tecuixpo, more later baptized with the name of Isabel de Moctezuma, daughter of the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II.
