The Veneròcolo Lakes are one of the hidden wonders of the Scalve Valley, located in the Schilpario (BG) area. These alpine lakes are located at approximately 2,200 meters above sea level, nestled in a natural basin between Mount Venerocolino and Mount Tre Confini.

💧 Main features:

The largest is Lago Bianco, with clear waters and a surface area of approximately 30,000 m².

Nearby are Lago Piccolo, Lago Basso Est, and other smaller lakes, which can dry out during drier periods.

The environment is wild and peaceful, perfect for those seeking a hike off the beaten track.

🥾 Access:

The trail starts from the hamlet of Ronco di Schilpario, passing through the village of La Paghera.

Follow CAI trail 414, which ascends the Venerocolino Valley to the Venerocolo Pass (2,314 m).

The hike is challenging: approximately 1,100 m of elevation gain and a total of 7–8 hours there and back. It is recommended for experienced hikers.
