In the southwest of Lefkara, in an imposing and striking location, stands the Chapel of the Transfiguration of the Redeemer, known as “Sotira”, which also gave the mountain its name.
The Church of the Savior (Sotira) dates back to the 14th century and its founder is Father Gabriel, who is also considered the founder of the great Church of the Holy Cross.
