A really worth seeing church that does not share its namesake
Grote Sint-Lurenskerk" in Alkmaar.
The Church of St. Laurentius was designed and built in a neo-Gothic style. Originally the church was designed with a 60 meter high tower in front of the church. However, due to a number of problems, this tower was only partially built, namely the main entrance, the chancel and the bell tower. So there can no longer be any talk of a tower. The tip now runs parallel to the roof of the church.
