The pointed, proud 61 meter tower of the Evangelical Church in Kleinenbremen can be seen from afar. On the foundations and remains of the late medieval village church from 1483 (including the lower part of the tower) today's neo-Gothic style church was built in 1883-1896. The architect was the church builder Heinrich Hutze (1853-1913) from Barkhausen/Porta, who also designed the neo-Gothic churches in Lerbeck (1892) and Barkhausen (1899) and the former Bismarck column (1902) on the Jakobsberg. There was a village chapel at this location as early as the 11th century.

The church in Kleinenbremen later became "famous" due to the fact, which only became known many years later, that shortly before the end of the Second World War, essential parts of the so-called "Hohenzollern Treasure" (including the Prussian royal crown from 1701) were relocated here from Berlin or Potsdam and were hidden from the advancing Allied troops. Under mysterious circumstances and in the strictest secrecy, the treasure found its way into the vaulted cellar of the church and was walled in there under a staircase between October 1944 and January 1946.
