Entrance to Vendicari

The Vendicari wildlife oasis, a naturalistic jewel created way back in 1984 by the Sicilian region, is located in a magical place between the cities of Noto and Pachino, in the suggestive province of Syracuse. This paradise covers a vast area of approximately 1,512 hectares, and within it, an entire ecosystem lives and thrives undisturbed. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in breathtaking landscapes, where the lush vegetation suddenly opens onto a crystalline sea, offering long, golden beaches which, in just a few steps, transform into cliffs overlooking the deep blue sea. For birdwatchers, the observation huts offer the unique opportunity to spot flamingos, herons and storks as they stop here before embarking on their fascinating migratory journey to distant destinations.
