              After the GruttenhĂŒtte, the route continues toward the Ellmau Gate via the JubilĂ€umssteig. We were expecting a climb, but it's a rope-secured via ferrata. It's doable without a via ferrata set for experienced climbers, but I would have felt more comfortable with appropriate equipment. In any case, it's a beautiful climb.

                That was my first via ferrata! I've been to the climbing gym before - but this is something different! I read before that this climb can also be done without a harness - even for beginners! However, as a beginner it makes more than sense to wear a harness and a helmet as I felt really safe! It was really fun! However, the climb to the Ellmauer Tor and then the anniversary climb was perhaps a lot! But the beer at the GruttenhĂŒtte tasted even better 😝đŸș
