Sestriere, one of the highest villages in Italy at 2035 metres, is nestled in the Piedmont Alps and is famous for its ski slopes and breathtaking views. Founded in 1934, it was home to the 2006 Winter Olympics and is home to the modern architecture of the Towers and the historic St. Edward's Church. It is part of the Milky Way Ski Area, offering a variety of summer and winter activities. The surroundings offer natural beauty and historical sites such as the Fort of Fenestrelle.
