The military road here (now part of the Great Trossachs Path, established in 2015) was built in the 1700s to enable soldiers to move quickly to and from Inversaid Garrison.

It was extremely well made, and as such is still a great surface for walkers and bikes. It also helps that, as per usual for this part of Scotland, the views are particularly gorgeous.
