    Hiking

The highest point in the federal state of Bremen is in Friedehorstpark. The point is not explicitly marked due to its low altitude. Even with an altimeter, it is not easy to find the exact point.

    Hiking

Through this gate at the southern end you enter the Friedehorstpark. In addition to beautiful old trails there are a few ponds and the rope garden Lesum to admire.

The Friedehorstpark was created around 1875 around the Lehnhof estate of the consul general, banker and senator Johannes Theodor Lürman, probably by Wilhelm Benque, the creator of the Bremen public park, in a landscape style. The manor house, originally a Swiss-style building, was built in 1857 and replaced in 1904 by a new neo-baroque building, which in turn was demolished in the 1930s. The park was originally 17 hectares larger than it is today. The Friedehorst Foundation with its facilities borders the park to the east. The Lehnhof estate was built in the west of the park in 1950/51.
