In the interwar years, Catholics living in Goleniów asked the state authorities for permission to build a church. They obtained consent. The church was built in 1930.

It is the seat of one of the three parishes of the city of Goleniów, a temple built in the 1970s and 1980s on the ruins of an older, German one from the early 20th century.
The church has a large, spacious interior, modern furnishings (pews, pulpit), several gilded bas-reliefs (The Last Supper, a bas-relief depicting St. George on a dragon, scenes from the life of the patron saint of the parish).
Church of St. George. In the altar wall there is a large stained glass window with the "Holy Trinity" surrounded by saints. There are two monuments in front of the church: Pope John Paul II and Divine Mercy.
Next to the church there is a rectory and in front of it a large yellow pine tree - a natural monument.
