The Cassataro Shelter was frequented, as evidenced by the finds discovered, even during the Neolithic, the Copper Age, the Bronze Age, the Greek period (late 6th early 5th century BC) and, after a long caesura, during the Late Ancient and Byzantine Age *25 . Nowadays, despite being exposed to climatic factors, the site is preserved quite well.
